Active kids love trampolines, but if you happen to live somewhere where you can’t really enjoy a trampoline year-round, you may question as to whether or not to invest in a trampoline.
Thankfully, there are so many different trampolines that are made to be used indoors. Indoor trampolines are fantastic because not only do they allow for an outlet for energetic kids, but they are smaller and can fit inside your living room.
Keep in mind that indoor trampolines are generally sized for younger children and should not be used without adult supervision.
Features to Look For
Mini trampolines made for toddlers generally fold up easier than outdoor trampolines, and they can be stored when not in use. You’ll want to keep that in mind if you want to be able to store it from time to time.
You’ll also want to seek out safety padding on the trampolines you choose because you don’t want the springs to be exposed while jumping. They’re a really quick way to get hurt.
High-quality springs are also important so that they don’t rust and give out too soon. You’ll also want to look for a durable mat that can stand up to the wear and tear it will take.
This mini trampoline from Little Tikes is fantastic for toddlers because just about all of them are very active and have tons of energy that needs to get burned off.
The trampoline is also fairly light, so you can move it from room to room when you need to. Keep in mind that it does have a weight limit of about 60 pounds, so when you look at it, remember to consider the size of your child.
Customers love it, too. One review on Amazon states, “Little Tikes mechanical engineers deserve a hat tip here—4 reasons: 1. The trampoline comes pre-built and unfolds. MIND BLOWN! 2. 5 legs easily screw onto protected, painted, threaded lugs. Non-slip rubber feet snap on. 3. Support bar is built into the legs; padded cross bar is attached w/ 2 screws. Loves to swing from it! 4. 15 min. Assembly time! My 2-year old grandson is going to wear himself out before this Little Tikes trampoline even blinks! Really a high-quality product. Purchased two: one for his home & one for ours!”

The Pure Fun Kids trampoline is ideal for preschool kids. It is sturdy and has a fantastic amount of padding all around the edges.
The springs provide plenty of bounce for the kid that just can’t get enough airtime. The design of the trampoline will ensure that it will last for years and through multiple kids, too.
You can find great reviews on Amazon from one of the many happy customers that have purchased. “I purchased this trampoline for Christmas 2016 for my two sons, aged 5 and 6. My youngest has autism and loves bouncing. I had purchased a different trampoline for him before this one that I have to say was garbage compared to this one. It only had elastic bands instead of actual springs. When our home burnt down, he was devastated that his trampoline had been destroyed. I searched long and hard for a replacement and ultimately bought this one. I have to say, we couldn’t be happier. It was not difficult to put together. The “hardest” part was putting the springs in but even that wasn’t difficult. I’m a single mother and I assembled this alone with no problem. This trampoline paid for itself in no time.”
The review goes on to say that she had been using the trampoline for four months and the springs are still maintaining their integrity.
- Includes galvanized springs instead of bungee cords for added durability
- Features 6 legs for best stability possible
- Perfect for indoor or outdoor play
This trampoline from Bazoongi comes in multiple colors and is made of galvanized steel. The springs are also galvanized steel, and the handle is adjustable for young kids that are just a bit taller.
Everything is fully padded to keep your kids safe too. Customer reviews praise this 4’ trampoline because it’s bigger than many other indoor trampolines.
One, in particular, says, “This is the second one I bought, this time for my niece. Easy to put together IF you attach each spring OPPOSITE the one you start with, if you attach the springs going all down on one side you’ll NEVER get the other side on. We’ve had the one for my son, who suffers from ADHD in our living room for over four years. It’s perfectly sized and fantastic for him. He’s been on it since he was two. I love it. Love it. Love it. Love it. Better than a rebounder for adults too!!!!”
This trampoline does even more than your regular mini trampoline. Not only does it give your kids a chance to get the bounciness out, but they can also learn some stuff in the process.
It plays music, encourages kids to practice their counting, learn animal sounds, and even work on a matching memory game.
The bumper pads make this trampoline safe, and the bright color makes it engaging for your kids. When you look it up on Amazon, you’ll see plenty of positive reviews.
A reviewer named Paul says, “The director of our son’s preschool suggested the Diggin JumpStart trampoline as a Christmas gift for our 3-year-old son when we talked to her about a certain activity he’s started to enjoy. He holds the back of our couch and jumps up and down on the cushion with great zeal and vigor, a huge grin plastered from ear to ear, while laughing and laughing. While most parents wouldn’t like jumping on the furniture, we had additional concerns. The other side of the couch is railing that looks down on the stairwell and downstairs. With such a prodigious loft, my wife is terrified he’ll bounce himself clear down to the nether bowels of our home.”
The reviewer went on to exclaim just how much his son was excited come Christmas morning upon opening gifts!
- Two fun designs to inspire creativity and imagination
- Thick PVC foam pad and a foam covered handle bar promotes fun and safe play
- Rubber feet resists slippage and prevents scuffing of non-carpeted floors
This SkyBound trampoline doesn’t use springs but instead uses strong elastic bands to provide the bouncing action that kids love.
The frame is still made of steel and is built to take a beating. The handle is also comfortable to hold on to for toddlers, and this model has a fantastic warranty and premier customer support.
With all of the positive reviews, it seems like an excellent option for your own mini trampoline. One Amazon customer says, “Bought this mini trampoline for my grandsons 2nd birthday. I wanted something we could use indoors and outdoors that was easy to carry. It was quick to arrive and easy to assemble. He is a very physical boy and took right to it. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to buy one with springs or with bungees but ultimately decided on the SkyBound with springs. There is a cover on them that keep feet safe from getting caught or pinched. This product seems to be well worth the money and has great bounce.”

This trampoline from Kangaroo has the bonus of having passed all US safety tests for the recommended ages of three years and above. The height of the handle is a little tall, but it would be good for kids that are over five years old, too.
It’s worth noting that while most of the reviews on Amazon are positive. One, in particular, mentions, “My only concern is that it is very tip easy when he uses the handle. We need to put the handle side up against a wall if we don’t want him to go flying/tipping over. He is WELL under the weight limit so that can’t be the reason.”
Even still, the majority of reviews are positive, so make sure you read through them, so you know what you’re getting. One of the more positive reviews says, “I bought this for my kids as they reached the weight limit and tore up the last one. This one is much more sturdy and I wanted something that could support me and also give my 5 year old autistic son the input that he needs. I jumped on this think myself for 5 min and I could feel it in my calf muscles. My son doesn’t need to jump on it long to get what he needs. It also has tension straps instead of springs which is better for safety as I also have a 2 year old that uses it.”

The Fold and Go trampoline is worth knowing about just to be able to take it with you on a family vacation if you wanted to.
It’s easy to assemble right out of the box by screwing on the legs to the frame followed by attaching the handles.
The spring elastics can also be covered by a safety pad as well as a padded handle for comfortable bouncing.
The top reviewer for the Fold and Go Trampoline sings its praises with their review. “First let me say how impressed I am with this companies customer service!! I would give 5 stars just on their professionalism and quality control alone. There was an issue with price and when I contacted the company they were fantastic in making the slight adjustment and there was never an issue about it again! Trampoline: Everything was wrapped properly with no missing pieces and tightly, but neatly packaged in the box. Some people have claimed there is a weird smell with it upon unboxing. I have to say this is true, but not a deal breaker in my opinion. I originally unboxed the main part (without the handles and legs) a week before Christmas to alleviate the smell and that seemed to do the job. I realize that could be annoying but I planned ahead and avoided that issue. As for the trampoline itself I must say I am extremely impressed with quality of the mat and ease of set up. There is a video that explains everything on their website and assembly took about 5-7 minutes.”
The reviewer goes on and on about how fantastic this purchase was and many more of the reviews reflect the same thing.
